sarathy

A child of different committments, mindfull of service thoughts - that is Sarathy

Sarathy was an astonishing being and a true social worker. he became a regular visitor and voluteering service provider to many service shelter homes around his living region. Also he was actively participated in Exnora and 'friends of police' for some time.

Background of Trust

The Founder Chairman of the Trust, Mr. Parthasarathy (a) Service Sarathy had been volunteering services to many elders homes and orphanages. With broad vision of social services to the weaker sections, this Aarathy Charitable Trust, the dream child of Sarathy, was founded jointly with Dr.C.R.Suriyakumar in January 2008.

Sarathy started his volunteering services from the age of 13 (inspired from school trip to Sivananda Ashram). The week ends of Sarathy was not like the other neighbourhood children, he used to sell soaps, phenol, etc in and around Guindy and Velachery of Chennai. Most of the money he earned were spent for the poor children at the orphanages for their notebooks, pencil and new cloths during festivals. He played role model to many like minded youngsters and who became volunteers and joined Sarathy's hands to serve the society.

Now Sarathy is no more and forever be greatly missed by his dear and nears. His ambition, pure service thoughts especially the charm he made us felt by helping needy people, drive us towards his way of services and we continue from where he left behind. The Idhaya Vaasal Elders' Home is run in memory of our Service Sarathy, presently at Pallikkaranai, Chennai.
