This charity service mission under Aarathy Charitable Trust
was started in the year 2008. Sarathy's Idhaya Vaasal Elders'
Home is one of the main service under the Trust. In these 14
year of services the Trust has touched thousands of poor to
uplift their quality of life.
The Idhaya Vaasal Home at Pallikaranai, Chennai, presently accommodates 40 elderly residents, including 13 bed-ridden geriatric patients. The Trust provides proper nursing, physiotherapy and healthy diet with care. In this typical family like care-home - Idhaya Vaasal (means 'entrance to heart') and the work force includes full-time care-givers and other staff we are 50 residents living here. With broad vision of social services to the weaker sections, this Aarathy Charitable Trust was founded jointly with S. Parthasarathy (Late) and one of his best friend Dr.C.R. Suriyakumar in January 2008. The Trust is registered with government and obtained 80G certificate for income-tax exemptions to all the donations the Trust collects.
You can support this noble humanity service in different ways. To Sponsor food for Full Day (3 meals) it costs Rs. 8,000/-, (Lunch alone 4,000/-) on your Special Days (Link). Also you may sponsor groceries, vegetables and fruits or bedding cloth, garments, pharma-items, based on the requirements of Trust at a given time. For details: 8122002261
The Trust has started construction of own building, Ground+2 floors in an area extent of 4,500 sq.ft, at Kanchivakkam, Padappai. This building will accommodate 100 destitute elders.
